16 On his robe and thigh was written this title: “King of Kings and Lord of Lords.”

                                                                                                                                   --Revelation 19:16

Dear River Family,

I pray that this “Good-News” letter finds you well.

Friends, as you may be aware, in the Bible, the “Kingdom of God” is a foundational message that our Lord Jesus taught during His time on earth. His twelve apostles were also instructed to preach this message, which became known as the “Good News of the Kingdom.” The early Church also focused on spreading this message. Today, you and I as His disciples continue to proclaim that the King has come, and His kingdom is present with power in the here and now. We also look forward to the future when His kingdom will be even more glorious!

Everyone, the book of Revelation shows us how the following two aspects of the kingdom converge into one message. First, in Revelation 12, we see the Church engaged in a spiritual battle. Sometimes there are difficulties and losses, but there are also moments of victory and overcoming. We hold on to the testimony of Jesus, who overcame through His blood and the Word. His kingdom power is manifesting now. However, the ultimate display of His kingdom power will happen on the final day when Christ Jesus Himself leads the charge against all evil. Secondly, in Revelation 14, we see the Church winning the battle. So, saints, victory is coming!

But, until that day comes, you and I can serve King Jesus every day with confidence, knowing that His kingdom triumphs both now and forever. Amen!

May the Risen “King of Kings and Lord of Lords” empower you today is my prayer. I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday.

In His love and blessing,

Pastor Rod
